A series of special meetings (both with a large lecture group, several smaller groups, and various individuals) took place in Victoria on
Vancouver Island to show how the ideas developed within the Initiative relate directly to the plans that British Columbia might be making for its
future education policy.

This was a return visit, following the various lectures that I had given earlier in the month in the Gulf Islands and at Saanich and Comox.

In advance of this presentation all members of the Ministry of Education had been advised to read three Papers drawn off the website – Lieutenant
Peter Puget; the grain of the brain and modern society’s failure to understand the nature of adolescents, Battery Hens or Free Range Chickens,
and the (British) Parliamentary Briefing Paper on the design faults at the heart of English education.
